sth about group discussion

tonight, we went on the free talk without Leslie. But I ask Will to join us.
At the first begining, I made some common about last night's group discussion. I said if one day we did the group discussion like that, we might all be fired. Because we made so many mistakes.
1.Leslie first asked us to state our opinions individually. That's totally wrong. Because it's a discussion, it's not going to draw out a conclusion. So first, after reading and thinking about the case, we should raise our opnions.
2.We didn't draw out with a timetable at the first begining, which will make our discussion more efficient. So in my opinion, next time when we make a group discussion, we should first select out a team leader. If he really knows much about that area, he can help us to draw out a best conclusion. In another situation, if no one knows much about the case, someone can stand out to be the leader, whose main responsibility is to draw out a process and distribute the task. The leader should try his best to inspire others.
3.We need to distribute some tasks like managing time, taking notes, making presentation. The leader should make a decision. And our followers should stand out, if we think we can take the responsibility. Do not waste others' time.
4.When facing making out sequence case, the first thing we do is to draw out a standard. We should discuss about standard first, not just show why we choose this into the priority list.
5.We shoulf first focus more on the whole case, not just some details. Like, we should first discuss the standard, and then discuss what can be our standard, and then maybe give every item a score. Something like this!
6. If we are not really familiar with that field, it's a brilian choice for us to be a follower. But remember, we cannot just say "Yes" or "No" to others. We can express others' opinion in another way, if we think their opnion is right. Also, we should say XX's opinion is ok, but I think ....(here you can use other's opinion), if we don;t really like their suggestions.
7.About last night, we made a big common sense mistake. We don't need the captain to drive the accident boat! In the TITANIC, the captain and the crews had to say on the boat! It's their responsibility to stay there!
